ForNissan added a hybrid version and gave the Rogue—all-new in —refreshed styling and interior appointments. The nonhybrid Rogue update was mostly superficial but brings a more upscale vibe. Its face was restructured to bolster the V-Motion design theme, the head- and taillamps were reworked, and more chrome accents were added. The rear liftgate now offers motion-activated opening, and inch wheels appear on the options list. In the cabin, a flat-bottomed and optionally heated steering wheel was adopted, the shift knob was redesigned with a leather boot, the center stack was redesigned, and a few of the dashboard and door accents have new finishes.
Oh, and buyers also get a Death Trooper helmet. It inspires little enthusiasm, and its nonconformist exterior belies a mundane dynamic personality.
Call it the rebel appliance. The standard 2. Whereas many competitors offer even more powerful engine options, the Rogue has only the one powerplant, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission CVT. Driving the Rogue in traffic can resemble those movie scenes where the lead character moves in slow motion while the surroundings turn to blurry streaks. The Rogue AWD turned in a zero-tomph time of 9.
In our tomph top-gear acceleration test, simulating a passing maneuver or freeway merge, the Rogue took an interminably long 6. Our test driver cited a sluggish response from the CVT as a contributing factor. Rogue buyers who care little about the performance deficit may be attracted by the fuel-economy labels. In our testing, though, the Rogue returned only 21 mpg, well behind its mpg EPA combined rating. Our drivers often felt compelled to floor the accelerator in the Rogue in order to keep up with traffic, negating its efficiency at steady speeds.
ForNissan added more sound-absorbing materials in the floor and the body pillars and thickened the rear door glass to cut down on noise intrusion, and it shows. It bobbles going around normal turns, it never seems to feel planted even in a straight line, and the electric power steering offers minimal feedback.
Under hard braking, the car does a noticeable nose dive, and our tests showed that stopping from 70 mph took feet, five more than the Sportagefor example. One competitive advantage for the Rogue is that it offers a third-row option in S and SV trim levelsa unique choice in this segment.
The SL as equipped with the Platinum Reserve interior package offers a warm and welcoming vibe. The detailing on the seat cushions and lower backrests looks upscale, even at the risk of looking like one of those poofy down jackets.
The dark camel leather extends to the door armrests, the center console and armrest, and above the glove compartment yielding a two-tone scheme. The extra stitching designs on the passenger dash and the console cover round out a wonderfully appointed environment, and the seats are every bit as comfortable as they look. Heated seats no ventilationa 7.
But unlike its sibling, the Murano, the Rogue is not accommodating to the connected lifestyle. The NissanConnect infotainment system is in need of some refinement—or maybe more modern hardware. The screens look low-res, and pressing the touchscreen multiple times too quickly frequently triggers a buffering pop-up. The entire system also blacked out on us once. We had the navigation system and satellite radio running but had entered no new commands—it simply restarted itself mid-drive.
What it lacks in propensity for road romping, it makes up for in the more widely appreciated virtues of comfort, size, and convenience.

You might have even put some videos on a flash drive and tried to play them. But as ofthe Nissan system is still using a 13 year old Codec called DivX. It's not the greatest quality, and the files are big, but it does work and it was really cheap for Nissan.

That being said, this guide will show you how to convert any videos you have, DVD rips, downloads or home videos, into the proper format so that you can play them in your car. The first thing you'll need to do is to compile a list of videos to put onto that flash drive.
It's easiest if you put them all in one folder, but if you're organized, that's not really critical. Most likely you're doing this for your kids so that you don't have to change discs or press play for them, after all this is ! I've found all sorts of great kids materials online and we've ripped several movies for them. A great idea is two Flash drives, one with short clips for short trips, and other discs full of full length videos.

Since you can often get a digital copy when you buy a Blu-Ray, you can use those too. Now you'll need to convert those videos into a format your car can recognize.
To do this, you'll need to do what's called "Transcoding" which is to convert them from whatever format they are currently in, to a DivX compatible format with the Right FourCC code. If you have a new computer, you probably have a 64Bit Operating System. You always want to use the Bit version of software if you can since it can use up all that powerful hardware without limitations.
But if you try the 64 bit version and it doesn't work, just download the all windows versions. To install it, just download the installer, run it and choose all of the defaults. It doesn't install any other junk, so you're safe. You can use any size flash drive from about 1GB up to 64GB, but you'll want to use a sufficiently sized flash drive!Stationery shop introduction
This can either be your USB Flash drive or a local folder if you'd like to save the files for later use on additional devices. Try with just a single short video before doing a massive conversion! Now you just have to wait.
A black DOS screen will come up as it converts the video, frame by frame into the right format. Depending on the speed of your computer and the amount of videos you're converting, this could take from 5 minutes for a single video clip up to hours for several full length films. Just be patient. This Nissan Rogue was equipped with standard mini blade electrical fuses in the engine bay and the relatively newer style "low profile" mini blade fuses in the interior passenger compartment panel.
Please check the fuses in your Rogue before purchasing new ones. If the thin metal strip in the translucent plastic middle of the old fuse appears to be intact, it is probably still good. Since new fuses are so inexpensive, I still recommend that you replace it as part of your electrical problem troubleshooting process. Push a new fuse of the same amperage rating e.
